A recent publication by the RSNA highlights the VUMC Radiology Residency Program and the unique training it provides to its residents.
Design thinking, a method to find the best solutions to problems, is a cornerstone of VUMC Radiology. It has not only led to redesigning the resident experience, but also reconfiguring reading room environments to “optimize well-being.”
“Design thinking is a human-centered approach that uses empathy and a growth mindset for problem solving to optimize the user experience,” said Lori A. Deitte, MD, professor of radiology and vice chair of education at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville.
