Mohammed Tantaway, PhD, MB, is a graduate from the Mu’tah University in Mu’tah, Jordan. He earned a PhD in Physics from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville and M.B.A. from Tennessee State University. He joined the Vanderbilt faculty in 2009 as Instructor. In 2016, he was appointed Research Assistant Professor of Radiology and Radiological Sciences. Dr. Tantaway is a member of the Society of Nuclear Medicine, Sigma Pi Sigma and the American Physics Society. His research uses nuclear imaging modalities, including PET, SPECT and CT. His projects involve cancer imaging, neuroreceptor imaging, renal function and bone disease.
