On Monday, Vanderbilt Radiology Society (VRS), in partnership with the Vanderbilt Medical Alumni Association (VMAA), hosted its inaugural Vanderbilt RSNA Alumni Reception in Chicago.
At the conclusion of Monday’s RSNA activities, more than 50 Vanderbilt Radiology alumni, faculty, trainees, administrative staff and their guests met at Bar Siena, located in Chicago’s vibrant West Loop neighborhood, for an evening with fellow colleagues.
Over the course of the three-hour event, attendees connected with each other while enjoying a delicious array of food and beverages, including antipasti, charcuterie and a seafood display.
“There was so much energy and excitement at the reception,” said Reed Omary, M.D., M.S., Carol D. and Henry P. Pendergrass Professor and Chair, Department of Radiology and Radiological Sciences. “It was fun to gather together with our current and extended Vanderbilt family at RSNA.”
Stephanie Kurita, M.D., Director of Alumni Relations and Development, Department of Radiology and Radiological Sciences, said she was so pleased with the event that she hopes to grow the event in the future years, and to further cultivate relationships between alumni, the department and the Medical Center.
“It was a wonderful night spent with even better company,” said Dr. Kurita. “I’m already looking forward to next year’s event!”
“Special thanks to Dr. Kurita, Ann Price, M.D., Associate Dean for Alumni Affairs, VMAA, and Christy Latshaw, Radiology Communications Coordinator, for helping organize the event," added Dr. Omary.
