Yu Luo, M.D., Ph.D.
Yu Luo, MD, PhD, earned an MS in Cardiovascular Pharmacology from China Pharmaceutical University in Nanjing, China and a PhD in Pharmacology from Wayne State University School of Medicine. Before earning his medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine, he worked as a Scientist at Pharmacyclics in Sunnyvale, CA, focusing on pre-clinical research in cancer and cardiovascular drug development. He completed a residency in Diagnostic Radiology at Wayne State University and fellowships in Pediatric Radiology and Pediatric Musculoskeletal Radiology at Children’s Hospital Boston, Harvard Medical School. In 2012, he joined the Vanderbilt faculty as Assistant Professor and Chief of Pediatric Musculoskeletal Imaging. He was promoted to Associate Professor in 2019. Dr. Luo serves as Associate Director, Office of Diversity and Inclusion for the Department of Radiology.
