Nolan Kagetsu, MD, studied chemical engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. After graduating from Albany Medical College, he completed a residency in diagnostic radiology at what is now Mount Sinai West and a fellowship in Diagnostic and Interventional Neuroradiology at NYU.
Dr. Kagetsu was a Diagnostic Radiology residency program director for 15 years and is the founding co-chair of the APDR Diversity Committee. He has written about unconscious bias, microaggression, disability, and being an upstander. He served on the ACGME Diversity Task force and is currently on the Advisory Committee of the ACGME Office of Diversity and Inclusion. He is a content contributor for the ACGME Equity Matters project.
Dr. Kagetsu serves on the Council Steering Committee of the American College of Radiology and the Board of the Association of University Radiologists. He currently is a diagnostic neuroradiologist for the Mount Sinai Department of Radiology. He lives in Manhattan with his wife. He has two adult children.
