Work With Us

If you are interested in having a member of the SOCKs team speak to a resident or fellow applicants, please let us know. We are also able to provide SOCKs fact sheets by subspecialty that can be used in application packets. Research Trainee Program

The SOCKs Research Trainee Program provides invaluable experiences for students, residents and fellows that are interested in being involved in clinical research. Since the programs launched in 2015, SOCKs central focus has been training individuals to conduct research. Our trainees assist principal investigators and Vanderbilt faculty on research in several fields, including neurosurgery, urology, ENT, cardiac surgery and general surgery.

Trainees spend a minimum of 4 to 5 hours a week working on research projects and studies while in the program. The amount of time they spend in the program varies depending on interests, and has been anywhere from a few months to several years.
