Guidelines

SWERV is fully subsidized for faculty within the Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center and MVTCP members. If limited availability, priority will be given to new users. Please fill out a redcap survey if you are interested in working with us.

Thank you!

Authorship and Publication Guidelines

Authorship

Some of the projects that we support or contribute to require a significant amount of intellectual input and we would appreciate the consideration of co-authorship or co-investigator designation in these circumstances. Examples may include significantly contributing to data analysis, database and project management, and significant project and design development. We ask that all users of the SWERV core consider this when selecting services. Based on selected services, potential co-authorship or co-investigator designation may be discussed at our initial meeting. If there are substantial changes (such as addition of services) after proceeding,  these designations may be reevaluated and addressed.

Acknowledgments

In order to continue to operate at a reduced cost to faculty, acknowledgments crediting SWERV and services involved is expected for all published work.  This recognition allows us to continue providing SWERV services to faculty members as a reduced cost or no cost core.

Suggested acknowledgment statement for published manuscripts: "The authors would like to acknowledge and thank the members of the Vanderbilt SWERV writing core for the editing and development of this manuscript." Authors may edit or adjust as they see fit.
