Faculty within the Division of Endourology and Stone Disease engages in multidisciplinary research and individual projects, including:

On a national level, Drs. Miller and Hsi are members of EDGE (Endourology Disease Group for Excellence), a multi-center research effort to advance medicine for and prevention of kidney stones, including studies for:
- Preoperative antibiotic duration before percutaneous nephrolithotomy
- Antibiotic prophylaxis after percutaneous nephrolithotomy
- Holmium laser lithotripsy outcomes with MOSES technology
