He is the past Chair of the American Board of Urology Examination Committee responsible for U.S. board certification and has been selected to serve as a Trustee of the American Board of Urology. His research in urologic oncology and clinical efforts have been recognized with national awards include the Distinguished Service Award of the SUO and the Gold Cystoscope Award and Hugh Hampton Young Award from the AUA.
