In collaboration with Women On Track (WOT), the Office of Faculty Affairs organizes and facilitates the VUSM Faculty Writing Group. The goal is to provide support, community, accountability, and feedback for scholars working on academic writing. Faculty members can work on any project during the writing groups – seminar papers, journal articles, grant proposals, conference presentations, etc. The intent of the writing group is to have a focused time and space for writing and to discuss writing issues with peers. Each meeting will begin with a 30 minute program on a specific writing topic, three 25 minute writing intervals, followed by a conversation about the progress of projects and questions and concerns that have come up about writing.
