Julie Hurst, MSN, FNP, MPH

Julie Hurst is an ANCC board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner who joined the Occupational Health Clinic in December 2023. Julie received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Bellarmine University in Louisville, KY and a Master’s of Science in Nursing from IUPUI in Indianapolis, IN. Additionally, she has a Master’s in Public Health with a focus on Global Communicable Disease from the University of South Florida in Tampa. She is currently a member of the US Army Reserve serving for 20 years as both a Critical Care Nurse and Family Nurse Practitioner. Her most recent experience has focused on management of those living with HIV and military Occupational Health. She has spent 15 years as a Nurse Practitioner with experience also in the fields of Emergency Medicine, Neurosurgery, Trauma, and Pre-Anesthesia Testing. She is excited to work with the Occupational Health team to promote population wellness and educate on disease prevention.
