Performance Coaching is an intervention used to improve job performance and to address workplace issues. This process helps a person gain greater competence and overcome barriers to productivity, communication, and other work-related activities. In addition, this intervention helps a motivated individual develop and expand his/her skill set to perform work-related tasks more effectively. Work performance is enhanced through a collaborative relationship between an individual and a coach. The individual defines the areas for assistance and the coach works with that person to develop a plan and objectives. The coaching relationship also provides the opportunity for someone outside of the work area to ask questions and to provide direct feedback. If you would like to schedule an appointment for performance coaching, call Work/Life Connections-EAP at 615-936-1327.
