New Faculty Resources

VWell is a program within VUMC's Faculty & Physician Wellness Program with a mission to "Empower Faculty and Physician Well-being." As a part of this program, we are pleased to share the following resources with you.

  • Physical health is a cornerstone of overall well-being. General Internal Medicine and OB/GYN have partnered to provide a process for you and your family members to obtain a VUMC primary care physician. Through this program, you will receive assistance in coordinating appointment slots for yourself and your family for long-term medical care, including prevention for those without current medical problems.

To find a PCP for you or your family member:

    1. Email pc4newfac@vumc.org and state that you are a VUMC faculty member.
    2. In your email include who needs the PCP: faculty; spouse; dependent <18 years old; or dependent on your health care plan > 18 years old.

Note: For urgent health care needs use the Vanderbilt Health Walk-in Clinics.

    3. Within 1-2 days, you will receive a reply email that includes detailed information. Respond to this email with your preferences.
    4. Expect an appointment with a Faculty Physician within 14 days.
  • The Vanderbilt Physician Parent Group (VPPG) is dedicated to supporting physician-parents across all departments at VUMC through community-building and resource-sharing. Members receive monthly emails that include resource-sharing materials as well as a “classifieds” section to help with childcare and other needs. VPPG also hosts virtual sessions, such as lactation support groups and financial seminars, as well as in-person family activities. To join the group, click here.
