Overview
The Application Platform Services team administers the enterprise Java application server platform. The services provided include the following:
- Create Java containers for new, internally developed, applications and services
- Deploy applications
- Other related services
How can I get it?
To provision Java services, the assistance of a Customer Relationship Manager may be required. To request a new Java container, submit a Pegasus Ticket for a WEBLOGIC NEW APP REQUEST. Depending on the situation, a PlanView Request may need to be entered.
Deployments to non-production environments are scripted to allow developers to deploy at will. To request a production deployment, submit a Pegasus Ticket for one of the following:
- For WebLogic 12, use WEBLOGIC PRODUCTION DEPLOYMENT REQUEST
- For OAS or WebLogic 11, use OAS OR WEBLOGIC 11 DEPLOYMENT REQUEST
Additional Java Services Information
The APS Team monitors the application server production platforms and applications for such metrics as:
- Disk capacity
- CPU capacity

- Data source pool limits
- Application availability
It is the responsibility of the application owner to request synthetic type monitoring. There are additional monitoring and alerting capabilities available with AppDynamics and Splunk which can be configured and managed by developers.
- To request a WebLogic application be configured to connect to TIBCO EMS, submit a Pegasus Ticket for WEBLOGIC TO TIBCO EMS INTEGRATION REQUEST.
