Over 100 attendees, representing twenty departments and technical areas across the Medical Center, gathered over a period of four days in July and began defining goals, establishing key requirements and developing timelines for the massive endeavor of developing a new Active Directory (AD) for VUMC. World Wide Technology (WWT) was on-site to assist with the planning and facilitated the first of what will be several sessions as the project continues to make progress.

VUMC IT, in partnership with VUIT and the Enterprise IT Transition Management Office, has finished preliminary research with World Wide Technology, Inc. (WWT) and is ready to begin separating the legacy Directory Services environment. This project is one of the largest IT transition efforts and will create independent directory services for the Medical Center and the University.
