New Microsoft Products Coming in December

The Vanderbilt Software Store (http://softwarestore.vanderbilt.edu) will start offering these Microsoft products to departments next month after pricing becomes available: •Office Professional Plus 2013 •Office Multilanguage Pack 2013 •Project Professional 2013 •Project Standard 2013 •Visio Professional 2013 •Visio Standard 2013 •SharePoint Server 2013 Enterprise •SharePoint Server 2013 Standard •MapPoint 2013 MapPoint, Visio and Project are available through Vanderbilt’s Microsoft Select Agreement.

Office 365 University Replaces Office University

Vanderbilt employees and students can buy Office University 2010 for PC or Office University 2011 for Mac for $99.95 for personal use through the Vanderbilt Software Store. Starting early next year, Microsoft will replace these perpetual use products with Office 365 University. Office 365 University is a subscription based service that includes SkyDrive storage, Skype minutes and streaming Office.

Vanderbilt Students Qualify for No Cost Copy of Windows 8

Vanderbilt students can get Microsoft Windows 8 Professional Upgrade through the Vanderbilt Software Store at no cost. Each student is eligible to order one copy of Windows 8 Upgrade. EndNote X6 for Mac and Mac OS X 10.8.2 Issue

There is a known issue related to running EndNote X6 for Mac under Mountain Lion 10.8.2. The issue causes Cite While You Write to either freeze while formatting, or give you a -1712 time out error.
