McAfee Security 1.1 (VirusScan 9.1) build 1309 is compatible with Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard (Intel only), Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard), and Mac OS X 10.7 (Lion). Vanderbilt departments and students may download McAfee Security 1.1 free of charge for use on Vanderbilt and student-owned Macs.  You may download the software from http://its.vanderbilt.edu/antivirus, or through http://its.vanderbilt.edu/softwarestore.

Paralles.com has provided the following information regarding Parallels compatibility with Mac OS X Lion: Parallels Desktop for Mac: Parallels Desktop for Mac users must install the latest version (version 6) and install the most current build in order to run on Lion.  You can install the latest build by going to the Parallels Desktop menu, selecting Check for Updates, and installing the latest build (6.0.12094). You should do this before upgrading to Lion.

Adobe has worked with Apple to test that its CS3, CS4, CS5, and CS5.5 products are compatible with Mac OS X Lion (V10.7).  Adobe has posted its test results at http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/905/cpsid_90508.html. Thomson Reuters recently announced the release of EndNote X5 for Windows (http://www.endnote.com/pr-enx5win.asp).  Departments, faculty, staff and students may purchase EndNote X5 for $55/computer through the Vanderbilt Software Store starting today. The Vanderbilt Software Store uses a GeoTrust hosted portal (GeoTrust Center) for fulfilling Enterprise SSL Certificate orders placed by departments. This morning, GeoTrust Center contained the following advisories: 1.GeoCenter will be unavailable between 12:00 noon and 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 9th due to scheduled maintenance. As a result, the Software Store will not be able to fulfill Enterprise SSL certificate orders during this time. 2.Mozilla has announced it will not support MD5 after June 30th, 2011.

Vanderbilt has renewed its CambridgeSoft Inventory Workgroup site license.  The site license enables employees and students to download Inventory Workgroup for free.
