The deadline to purchase and approve orders for Visio and Project through the VUMC Software Store via the university’s Microsoft Select Plus agreement is June 28. The licenses are perpetual and will transfer from the university to the medical center. Starting July 2016, VUMC departments are eligible to purchase Microsoft products and services through a new contract between VUMC and Microsoft.  Details will follow.    

The VUMC Software Store is scheduled to undergo maintenance on June 14, 2016 from 5:00  to 7:00 AM.  During this time, customers will not be able to log into the VUMC Software Store.

Kivuto, the company that hosts the VUMC Software Store, issued the following alert: Our datacenter (PEER1) in Atlanta is experiencing a power loss that is currently impacting servers. They are aware of the issue and working to get back online as soon as possible. We will share more information as it becomes available. We are very sorry for the inconvenience this may cause.

JetBrains, the manufacturer, offers a Student License for PyCharm.  Each Vanderbilt faculty and student is eligible to apply for a free PyCharm Student License.  You may use a Student License for teaching, coursework, and academic research. Adobe released Acrobat Pro DC (Document Cloud) on April 7, 2015. The Software Store added the new product to its catalog on June 2.  Departments can purchase Acrobat Pro DC for Windows or Mac through the Software Store. Learn about Document Cloud.
