The way you make an outbound call at VBCH is standardizing
Beginning September 1, 2022, the way workforce members make phone calls at our Vanderbilt Bedford County Hospital (VBCH) is changing to a standard 10-digits preceded by a “9”. This includes all calls, including internal calls, local calls and external calls to another area code.
What you should do:
VUMC phone service temporarily unavailable on February 3rd
Vanderbilt IT will upgrade the telephone system on Sunday, Feb. 3, at 4 a.m.
The upgrade will take approximately one hour to complete. During this time, the telephone system will be unavailable. This outage will affect all regular phones (including Lync/Skype for Business phones) at the Medical Center.
