Jessica Miller, M.D., Ph.D.
Jessica Miller, MD, PhD, joined VUMC Radiology as an Assistant Professor in July 2024, immediately following a fellowship in Emergency Radiology here at Vanderbilt. Dr. Miller also completed her residency within our department.
Before receiving her doctorate degrees, Dr. Miller worked as a development engineer and project manager in the medical device industry. She has helped develop and manufacture a number of medical devices, even holding a design patent. A graduate of Washington University in St. Louis, Dr. Miller received her bachelor's, master's, and a PhD in Biomedical Engineering, as well as her MD from the Washington University School of Medicine.
While at Vanderbilt, Dr. Miller has served on the Graduate Medical Education Committee, VUMC Hospital Safety Committee and published numerous papers. Dr. Miller is a member of the American Society of Emergency Radiology (ASER).
Dr. Miller is passionate about her research. Current projects include oncologic 3-D ultrasound imaging and developing new 3-D ultrasound applications for emergency radiology. She's also interested in working to improve imaging utilization and developing advanced image analysis techniques, particularly in emergency and trauma imaging.
