The Department of Radiology and Radiological Sciences is proud to share that Erik Landman, MD, has been named the new Neuroradiology Fellowship Program Director.
After earning his medical degree from the University of South Alabama College of Medicine, Dr. Landman completed his training here with VUMC Radiology. During his diagnostic radiology residency, he acted as Chief Resident, before embarking on a successful neuroradiology fellowship. In 2020, he officially joined our faculty as an Assistant Professor. In his new role, Dr. Landman will succeed Courtney Tomblinson, MD.
“I have always been drawn to resident and fellow education, so stepping into a formal role as the new neuroradiology fellowship director is something I am passionate about and excited to start,” Dr. Landman says. “As a former neuroradiology fellow here at Vanderbilt, I am eager to continue to foster and progress our robust and healthy fellowship program. I want to thank Dr. Tomblinson for all her great work as the previous director and look forward to a smooth transition.”
“This position is a natural fit for Dr. Landman,” says Daniel Brown, MD, FSIR, Carol D. and Henry P. Pendergrass Professor and Chair of Radiology. “He has won teaching awards both as a Fellow and Faculty Member. I am grateful that he is taking on this role.”
“We are thrilled to have Dr. Landman join our fellowship team,” says Christine Dove, MD, VUMC Radiology’s Director of Fellowship Programs. “As a former resident and neuroradiology fellow, he can provide a unique perspective in the role. In addition to his numerous teaching and leadership accolades, he is also such a pleasure to work with on a personal level. I cannot wait to work with him.”
