VUMC Radiology is excited to welcome Corrie Yablon, MD, to our Musculoskeletal Radiology section as a Professor of Radiology and Radiological Sciences!
Dr. Yablon comes to VUMC from the University of Michigan, where she has served as faculty since 2012. Originally joining as a Clinical Assistant Professor, Dr. Yablon was promoted to Clinical Associate Professor in 2016 and then again to Clinical Professor in 2021. During much of her time at Michigan Medicine, she served as the Program Director of the Musculoskeletal Radiology Fellowship, mentoring numerous medical students, residents and junior faculty while overseeing the education of countless fellows.
A graduate of Boston University School of Medicine, Dr. Yablon completed her radiology residency and MSK fellowship at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. After training, Dr. Yablon joined Harvard Medical School as an Instructor in Radiology and as an Attending Radiologist at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, where she practiced for four years prior to moving to Michigan.
Over her career, Dr. Yablon has devoted much of her time to medical education by giving invited lectures, serving on various institutional and national committees, and authoring various peer-reviewed publications. She has served as the Co-Editor of the Career Path Series in the American Journal of Roentgenology, providing career-oriented articles for trainees and recent graduates, as well as served as guest editor for several MSK-focused journals.
Winner of the ABR Volunteer Service Award and the RSNA Honored Educator Award, Dr. Yablon has received a multitude of other professional honors and awards from national societies.
