First Vanderbilt Radiology Faculty “Ladies Night Out”

The Department of Radiology held its very first “Ladies Night Out” on January 8! Interest for the event was generated by many of the female colleagues desiring a social gathering outside of work for time to talk and get to know one other and enjoy a good meal. The dinner, which took place at the Cabana Restaurant in Hillsboro Village, served as a great opportunity to discuss issues faced by women and how to work communally for the advancement of their careers.

Brown named to SIR Executive Council

Daniel B. Brown, MD, FSIR has been nominated for a 3-year term on the Society of Interventional Radiology (SIR) Executive Council as Director of Post-Graduate Education. Selection was made by the SIR Foundation Board Nominating Committee and approved by the SIR Foundation Board in November. In this role, he will have several responsibilities:

Vanderbilt Radiology goes to RSNA 2014

The 100th Scientific Assembly and Annual Meeting of the Radiological Society of North America will be held November 30-December 5, 2014 at McCormick Place in Chicago, Illinois.  The RSNA received more than 12,000 scientific and education abstracts that the subcommittees of the Scientific Program Committee and Education Exhibits Committee reviewed.  Due to the high quality of abstracts received, the Society was able to develop a strong program, in which 1,754 sci
