In a new multi-institution collaboration, VUMC Radiology faculty worked with doctors and students from medical schools and centers across the country to publish a comprehensive guide on using ultrasound in lower-extremity procedures.
“Ultrasound-Guided Joint Interventions of the Lower Extremity,” published in Skeletal Radiology, offers a better understanding of the role ultrasound plays in lower extremity joint interventions.
The article was co-authored by VUMC Radiology faculty Ashish Patel, MD, MBA, MS, RMSK, and Nicholson Chadwick, MD, as well as VUMC radiology resident Arjun Patel, MD.
Two VUSM medical students are also co-authors—Kelly von Beck, BS and Pulak Goswami, PhD.
Other co-authors include Steven Soliman, DO, Henry Ford Hospital, and Kevin McGill, MD, MPH, the University of California San Francisco.
