Congratulations to Alexandra Foust, DO, Assistant Professor of Radiology and Radiological Sciences, for having her work “Developmental Anomalies of the Midface” published by the American Society of Neuroradiology in Neurographics.
The goal of the paper was to understand the key features of midface development and to use a location-based approach to generate a relevant differential diagnosis for congenital midface anomalies.
Dr. Foust and her co-authors in this article state the importance of pediatric neuroradiologists being aware of the spectrum of developmental anomalies of the midface and to anticipate future clinical issues such as respiratory obstruction, feeding difficulty, dental issues, hearing loss, and visual and/or intellectual impairment.
