Jenny Weaver Joins as Associate Professor

The Department of Radiology is excited to welcome Jennifer S. Weaver, MD, as an Associate Professor of Clinical, Radiology and Radiological Sciences. Dr. Weaver comes to Nashville by way of Albuquerque's University of New Mexico. Dr. Weaver attended medical school at the Ohio State University College of Medicine and Public Health and completed her Diagnostic Radiology Residency and Musculoskeletal Imaging Fellowship at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.

Mary Ellen Koran Receives AACSF Grant

Mary Ellen Koran, MD, PhD, Assistant Professor of Radiology and Radiological Sciences, has been awarded the Alzheimer's Association Clinician Scientist Fellowship (AACSF) Grant. Over the next two years, she will study how lymphatic flow in the neck might play a role in dementia, using clinical nuclear medicine images like lymphoscintigraphy and FDG PET.

Emily Lippincott to Become Assistant Professor in 2023

Current Clinical Fellow/Instructor Emily Lippincott, MD, will be joining the Department of Radiology as an Assistant Professor in Cardiothoracic Imaging, starting in July of 2023. Dr. Lippincott received her medical degree from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in 2017. Following school, she joined the VUMC Radiology house staff and finished an internal medicine internship in 2018.
