Today, the Department of Radiology and Radiological Sciences announced the formation of its alumni network, the Vanderbilt Radiology Society (VRS).
Created out of the vision of Reed Omary, M.D., and Director of Alumni Relations and Development, Stephanie Kurita, M.D., VRS will provide an exciting opportunity to develop a lifelong connection between radiology residents, alumni, the department and Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC).
“It was important for us to create a community for our current residents, graduating class, and those who came before them,” said Dr. Kurita. “With VRS, our hope is to leverage our collective resources and talents to provide our current residents with the best possible training, as well as advance the vision of our department and VUMC.”
In an effort to connect with alumni, and for them to remain engaged with the department, news updates and event announcements will be sent throughout the year to VRS members. But mark your calendars now – the first event, an Induction Ceremony, will take place this August!
We invite you to visit the website for additional information, or to submit your contact information for updates on future VRS news and events. You may also contact Dr. Kurita at stephanie.c.kurita@vanderbilt.edu for questions on how you can get involved with VRS.
