Gordon to give MLK Day lecture Jan. 16
David Gordon, M.D., dean of the University of Akron College of Health Professions, will speak from noon to 1 p.m. Monday, Jan. 16, in conjunction with the 2017 Martin Luther King Jr. Commemorative Series at Vanderbilt. Gordon will speak in Light Hall, Room 208. Lunch will be provided for the first 100 attendees.
Levi Watkins, Jr. MD Lecture presented by Kevin B. Johnson
The 2016 keynote speaker for the Levi Watkins, Jr., M.D. Memorial Lecture will be Kevin B. Johnson, M.D., M.S., senior vice president for health information technology at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, Cornelius Vanderbilt Professor and chair of biomedical informatics, and professor of pediatrics.
Brian Williams, MD to speak in Flexner Deans' Lecture Series
On September 29, 2016, Brian Williams, MD, Assistant Professor of Surgery at University of Texas Southwestern, will speak on the topic "Violence in America As Viewed Through the Lens of a Trauma Surgeon: July 7, 2016-Dallas ,Texas." Williams is also a trauma surgeon at UT Southwestern Medical Center. The lecture will be held in 208 Light Hall.
