Dr. Mattingly grew up in Dallas, Texas, where he completed his undergraduate degree in business administration at the University of Texas at Dallas. He then received his medical degree at the University of Texas at Houston Health Science Center. This was followed by an internship at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, TX, and ophthalmology residency at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. He then completed his glaucoma fellowship at the prestigious Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Palm Beach Gardens, FL.
Dr. Mattingly strives to engage his patients with comprehensive evaluations and clear communication. He has special interests in advanced glaucoma and complex cataract surgery.

Dr. Barnett obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree in biology with College Honors from Washington University in St. Louis and his medical degree from Stony Brook School of Medicine, where he was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. He then completed an internship in General Surgery at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and a residency in Ophthalmology at the Vanderbilt Eye Institute. Dr. Barnett has co-authored a diverse set of peer-reviewed articles in several journals and has presented at numerous conferences. He is passionate about medical student and resident education and mentorship. In his free time, Dr. Barnett enjoys writing, hiking, and playing jazz piano.

Daniel Valenzuela, MD, received his bachelor’s degree in philosophy and neuroscience from the University of Miami and his medical degree from the Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. He then completed an internship in general surgery at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and a residency in ophthalmology at the Vanderbilt Eye Institute .Dr. Valenzuela has co-authored peer-reviewed articles in several journals, including the Journal of Neuroscience, Cell Transplantation and the American Journal of Ophthalmology. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and has an interest in performing complex cataract surgery with the most current medical and surgical techniques.
