Joseph McCrary Joins VUMC Radiology as Assistant Professor
The Department of Radiology and Radiological Sciences is excited to welcome Joseph McCrary, MD, to the Pediatric Radiology section as an Assistant Professor.
Dr. McCrary comes to VUMC after almost three years at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center in Ohio, where he practiced as an Emergency and Critical Care Pediatric Radiologist.
Guiyun Wu Joins VUMC Radiology as Associate Professor
The Department of Radiology and Radiological Sciences is excited to welcome Guiyun Wu, MD, MS, to the Nuclear Medicine section as an Associate Professor.
Dr. Wu joined VUMC on January 2, 2024 and comes to us from Cleveland Clinic, where he has worked since 2003.
Holding board certifications in both Nuclear Medicine and Neurology, Dr. Wu has been an integral part of supporting the clinical research efforts at Cleveland Clinic's Neurological Institute.
Matthew Roberts Joins VUMC Radiology as Assistant Professor
The Department of Radiology and Radiological Sciences is pleased to welcome Matthew Roberts, MD, to the Emergency Radiology section as an Assistant Professor.
Dr. Roberts comes to us from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where he served as an Assistant Professor since 2017. Previously, he worked in private practice and for the University of Tennessee health group at a Level 1 trauma center.
Matthew Smith Wins RSNA Resident Research Award
A research project aimed at developing a new way to image lung perfusion has won a VUMC Radiology member a coveted award.
Abdominal Imaging fellow Matthew Smith, MD, PhD, was chosen as this year’s recipient for the RSNA Resident Research Award. Dr. Smith’s research, “Detecting pulmonary embolism using fluoroscopy and spectral analysis: a non-contrast method” started in 2019 when he joined the department as a first-year Diagnostic Radiology resident.
He was nominated by the department to recognize his work and efforts towards this research.
