Radiology Chair Omary Inducted into AUR College of Fellows

Reed Omary, MD, MS, Carol D. and Henry P. Pendergrass Professor and Chair of Radiology, was inducted into the Association of University Radiologists (AUR) College of Fellows during the 2021 AUR Meeting last week. 

Department Announces Chief Residents for Class of 2022

The Department of Radiology recently announced chief residents for the Diagnostic Radiology (DR) and Integrated Interventional Radiology (IR) class of 2022. Third-year DR resident Drs. Emily Lippincott and Shuai Yuan, and fourth-year IR resident Drs. Casey Cable, Janesh Lakhoo and Alan North, will assume their roles as chief residents for their respective residency training programs starting in June.

Department of Radiology Shares 2021 NRMP Match Results

The Department of Radiology is excited to share results of the 2021 Main Residency Match, which were publicly released today by the National Resident Match Program (NRMP). The Diagnostic Radiology (DR) and Integrated Interventional Radiology (IR) residency programs successfully filled its full allotment of available slots. The nine matched residents – six for DR and three for IR – are expected to begin their residency training following completion of their internship year in July 2022. They are:

Department of Radiology Announces New Leadership for Inpatient Services

The Department of Radiology recently announced new leadership for its inpatient service lines. Jake Block, MD, Associate Professor of Radiology, will serve as Executive Medical Director for Vanderbilt Radiology. Colin McKnight, MD, Assistant Professor of Radiology, will serve as Medical Director of Inpatient Radiology for Vanderbilt University Hospital.
