The Department of Radiology and Radiological Sciences is excited to welcome Alexandra Foust, DO, who joins our team as Assistant Professor in Pediatric Radiology. Dr. Foust arrives by way of Cleveland, OH, where she recently served as Director of Pediatric MRI and Assistant Professor of Radiology at Case Western Reserve Hospital.
IR Chief Resident Collin Howser to Join as Assistant Professor in 2023

The Department of Radiology and Radiological Sciences is happy to announce that Collin Howser, MD, one of our own Chief IR Residents, will be joining our faculty in August of 2023 as an Assistant Professor. Dr. Howser says he knew VUMC was the right place for him because of the department's strong and supportive family atmosphere.
Samuel Ostrum to Join as Assistant Professor in 2023

The Department of Radiology and Radiological Sciences is happy to announce that Samuel Ostrum, MD, will be joining in August 2023 as an Assistant Professor in Body Imaging.
Dr. Ostrum joins us by way of Duke University, where he recently graduated from the Diagnostic Radiology Residency Program. He is currently participating in an Abdominal Imaging Fellowship at Duke University Hospital in Durham, NC.
Jennifer Weaver Succeeds Jake Block as MSK Section Chief

The Department of Radiology and Radiological Sciences is pleased to announce that Jennifer S. Weaver, MD, Associate Professor of Radiology and Radiological Sciences, has stepped into the role of Section Chief of Musculoskeletal Imaging, effective October 1. Dr. Weaver succeeds Jake Block, MD, Vice Chair of Clinical Operations and Professor of Radiology and Radiological Sciences, whose visionary leadership of the MSK section over the last 15 years has taken it to new heights.
William Barret Joins as Assistant Professor

The Department of Radiology is excited to welcome William Barret, MD, MS, as an Assistant Professor of Radiology and Radiological Sciences.
Dr. Barret graduated magna cum laude in Economics from Vanderbilt University in 2004. Subsequently, he obtained his master's from Georgetown University and his medical degree from Wake Forest University School of Medicine. He completed his Diagnostic Radiology Residency and Interventional Radiology Fellowship at the University of Alabama, Birmingham, before entering private practice in Nashville in 2016.
