SAS Institute released an update for SAS 9.3 (i.e. TS1M2 Rev:12w41). The update supports Windows 8 and Windows Server 2012. The Software Store placed the update in the accounts of customers with active SAS subscriptions.

Vanderbilt adopted a new policy for registering, renewing and transferring university and medical center domain names on February 1, 2012.

Microsoft released Windows 8 during October 2012. Students pay $0 and employees pay $9.75 for Windows 8 through the Vanderbilt Software Store. These discounts are benefits of Vanderbilt’s Microsoft Campus Agreement.

Vanderbilt employees and students can buy Office University 2010 for PC or Office University 2011 for Mac for $99.95 for personal use through the Vanderbilt Software Store. Starting early next year, Microsoft will replace these perpetual use products with Office 365 University. Office 365 University is a subscription based service that includes SkyDrive storage, Skype minutes and streaming Office.
