Thomson Reuters released EndNote X6 for Windows in early September. Customers who bought EndNote X5 for Windows through the Software Store on or after July 6, 2012 qualify for a free upgrade to X6. The Software Store provided a free download to eligible customers on September 20th. Thomson Reuters expects to release EndNote X6 for Mac to volume license customers by the end of October.

IBM released SPSS Statistics 21 during late August. Software Store customers with active SPSS subscriptions qualify for a free upgrade to SPSS 21.

GeoTrust will conduct a scheduled site upgrade and systems maintenance from 1 p.m. Saturday 29, 2012 through 2 a.m. Sunday September 30, 2012. During this time, the Software Store will not be able to create GeoTrust Enterprise SSL certificates for customers. The scheduled upgrade and systems maintenance does not affect existing GeoTrust Enterprise SSL certificates.

SAS Institute released 10.0.1 Updaters for JMP 10 and JMP Pro 10. See the Release Notes posted at http://support.sas.com/demosdownloads/000981/JMP_1001_release_notes.pdf for details on enhancements, bug fixes and new features included in 10.0.1. The Software Store provides the Updaters to current JMP subscribers and added the Updaters to the JMP download in the Software Store.

With the release of Mac OS X 10.8 (i.e. Mountain Lion), Apple requires Apple-approved developers to provide installers that digitally sign into Apple's new Gatekeeper authentication system. You may get an "unidentified developer" error message if you use an installer that was released before the Mountain Lion release date (i.e. before July 25, 2012). Wolfram Research, an Apple approved developer, updated its Mathematica 8.0.4 for Mac installer to sign into Apple's new authentication system.

Microsoft released Windows 8 Enterprise, Windows Server 2012 DataCenter and Windows Server 2012 Standard to volume license customers last month. Vanderbilt has access to these products through our Campus Agreement.

Customers who purchased Parallels 7 between July 25 and September 4, 2012 through the Vanderbilt Software Store qualify for a free upgrade to Parallels Desktop 8 for Mac. Kivuto, the company that hosts the Software Store, will send an email with instructions on how to upgrade to eligible customers. Customers have until October 31, 2012 to redeem the upgrade code they receive by email from Kivuto.

E-academy, the company that hosts the Vanderbilt Software Store, will perform maintenance on the underlying platform on Tuesday, August 14th, from 6-7:30 a.m. Central Time. During this time, we will place the Software Store in "maintenance mode" and we will display a message indicating that the Software Store is temporarily unavailable.
