Apple has released OS X Mountain Lion. You can buy Mountain Lion now through the Vanderbilt Software Store under the Departments/More Software tab for $11.49. If you purchase through the Software Store (i.e. through Apple Volume Licensing), you can only install the OS on Vanderbilt owned Macs. Before you upgrade, make sure your Mac can run Mountain Lion and that it is running the latest version of Snow Leopard (10.6.8) or Lion (10.7.x).

The Vanderbilt community is eligible to save up to 10% on Hewlett Packard consumer products through the Hewlett Packard Academy Program. Vanderbilt students, instructors, faculty, administration, alumni, former students, and parents of students can participate in this program. Annual limits apply to discounted purchases.

The Vanderbilt Software Store (http://vanderbilt.onthehub.com) will be unavailable on Tuesday, June 5th, from 6 a.m. until approximately 7:30 a.m. E-academy, the company that hosts the Software Store, will display a message indicating that the site is temporarily unavailable to the end user while it performs maintenance on the ELMS platform (i.e. the platform used for the storefront).

Parallels has agreed to remove its order quantity restriction for Vanderbilt employees. This means employees can place bulk orders for departments through the Vanderbilt Software Store under the Faculty/Staff – Parallels tab. Parallels still enforces an order quantity restriction for students.

Microsoft’s new System Center 2012 is available through the Vanderbilt Software Store as part of Vanderbilt’s Microsoft Campus Agreement. Adobe has introduced new installation requirements for Creative Suite 6 (CS6). 1.Customers must log in with an Adobe ID and activate their software within seven days of first launching CS6. Otherwise, the software will stop working. 2.If you do not have an Adobe ID, you can create one at https://www.adobe.com/cfusion/membership/index.cfm. 3.If you do not have access to the Internet, click I do not have access to the Internet during the installation process.
