Spalluto, Lewis to Co-lead VA-PALS National Program Evaluation

Lucy Spalluto, M.D., Assistant Professor of Radiology, and Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) oncology colleague Jennifer Lewis, M.D., M.S., Instructor in Medicine, have been selected to co-lead the Veterans Affairs – Partnership to increase Access to Lung Screening (VA-PALS) National Program Evaluation.

Raybon Named RSNA Resident and Fellow Committee Chair

Third-year diagnostic radiology resident Courtney Raybon, M.D., was named Chair of the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) Resident and Fellow Committee (RFC) at RSNA’s Annual Meeting held last week in Chicago. 

Radiology Appoints Wellons Secondary Faculty

Jay Wellons, M.D., MSPH, Professor of Neurological Surgery and Pediatrics, and Chief of Pediatric Neurosurgery, has been appointed secondary faculty in the Department of Radiology and Radiological Sciences. He also currently serves as the Department of Neurological Surgery Vice Chair for Academics and Faculty Affairs, the Section of Surgical Sciences Vice Chair for Clinical Research, and the Medical Director of the Surgical Outcomes Center for Kids (SOCKs).

Vanderbilt University Medical Center’s (VUMC) Women in Radiology, in partnership with the Tennessee Radiological Society’s (TRS) Committee for Women and Diversity, recently hosted a Diversity Networking Event to promote networking opportunities and career development for underrepresented minorities and women in radiology.
