William R. Winter, MD, MS earned his Master of Science degree at Tulane University and his Doctor of Medicine degree at University of California, Irvine. He completed an integrated Interventional Radiology and Diagnostic Radiology residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and joined Vanderbilt as an Assistant Professor of Radiology and Radiological Sciences in 2021. He is a member of the Society of Interventional Radiology, the American College of Radiology and the Radiological Society of North America.

Jennifer Williams, MD, is a graduate of the University of North Carolina and earned her medical degree at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. She completed a residency in Radiology at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City, NY and a fellowship in Cardiovascular Imaging at Carnegie Hill Radiology. Dr. Williams joined the Vanderbilt faculty in 2007 as Assistant Professor. In 2022, she was promoted to Associate Professor. In 2023, she was named the Section Chief of Cardiothoracic Imaging. In 2024, Dr. Williams was named the Assistant Medical Director of Vanderbilt Imaging Services. She is a member of Radiological Society of North America.

Feng Wang, PhD, earned a PhD in Physical Chemistry from Vanderbilt University. After completing a post-doctoral fellowship in Biophysics at Vanderbilt University, she joined the faculty in 2008. Dr. Wang was the recipient of the Best Teacher Award (UESTC) in 1998 and the Warren Award in 2002. Dr. Wang’s research is focused on the MRI protocols for functional study of non-human primates and MRI assays for investigating spinal cord injuries. In addition, she is applying an array of quantitative MRI methods for assessing kidney disease using murine models. She is a member of the American Chemical Society and ISMRM.

Sarah D. Valenti, RN, MSN, ACNP-BC, earned her BS in Human and Organizational Development with honors from Vanderbilt University and her MSN in Nursing-Adult Acute Care from Vanderbilt University School of Nursing. Following seven years working at Vanderbilt University Medical Center as a RN at the Burn Center and then as a Nurse Practitioner for Emergency General Surgery and the Surgical Intensive Care Unit, she joined the Vanderbilt faculty in 2010 as Assistant in Radiology and Radiological Sciences. She served Interventional Radiology as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner for 10 years before joining the Vanderbilt Lung Screening Program in 2020 as a Radiology Nurse Practitioner.

Mohammed Tantaway, PhD, MB, is a graduate from the Mu’tah University in Mu’tah, Jordan. He earned a PhD in Physics from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville and M.B.A. from Tennessee State University. He joined the Vanderbilt faculty in 2009 as Instructor. In 2016, he was appointed Research Assistant Professor of Radiology and Radiological Sciences. Dr. Tantaway is a member of the Society of Nuclear Medicine, Sigma Pi Sigma and the American Physics Society. His research uses nuclear imaging modalities, including PET, SPECT and CT. His projects involve cancer imaging, neuroreceptor imaging, renal function and bone disease.

LeAnn S. Stokes, MD, earned her medical degree at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine. She completed a diagnostic radiology residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and a fellowship in interventional radiology at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. She joined the Vanderbilt faculty in 2003. In 2022, Dr. Stokes was promoted from Associate Professor to Professor.

Dr. Stokes served as the Quality and Patient Safety Director for the Department of Radiology from 2010 to 2024. In 2024, she was named as the department's new Vice Chair of Quality and Safety. Dr. Stokes also chairs the Radiology Patient Advisory Group. Her clinical interests include endovenous laser ablation for treatment of lower extremity venous insufficiency, uterine artery embolization for treatment of uterine fibroids and percutaneous sclerotherapy for treatment of congenital vascular malformations. In 2018, she was appointed Radiology Director of the Vanderbilt Vein Center, and in 2021 was named Chief of the Interventional Radiology section.

Daniel L. Starnes, MD, JD, FACR, earned his medical degree from the University of Tennessee Knoxville, completed his Diagnostic Radiology residency at The Cleveland Clinic Foundation, and earned his doctor of jurisprudence from Nashville School of Law. Dr. Starnes has practiced for over 30 years in both private and academic settings. He joined the Vanderbilt faculty in 2017 as Assistant Professor of Clinical Radiology and Radiological Sciences. Dr. Starnes is a member of the Radiology Society of North America, The American College of Radiology, Tennessee Radiological Society and the American Society of Neuroradiology.

Lucy Spalluto, MD, MPH, is a graduate of University of Virginia and earned her medical degree from University of Virginia School of Medicine. She completed a residency in Diagnostic Radiology at Brown University and a fellowship in Women’s Imaging at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Dr. Spalluto joined the Vanderbilt faculty in 2014 as Assistant Professor and was promoted to Associate Professor in 2019. In 2023, Dr. Spalluto was promoted to Professor. Her clinical work focuses on breast imaging, including mammography, ultrasound, MRI and image-guided procedures.

Elizabeth Snyder, MD, is a graduate of Rice University and earned her medical degree from Case Western Reserve University. She completed a residency in Diagnostic Radiology at Johns Hopkins Hospital and a fellowship in Pediatric Radiology at Texas Children’s Hospital. Dr. Snyder joined the Vanderbilt faculty in 2018 as Assistant Professor. Dr. Snyder is also the Vice Chair of Wellbeing and Culture. She is a member of the American College of Radiology, Society of Pediatric Radiology and the American Society of Neuroradiology. On July 1, 2024, Dr. Snyder was promoted to Associate Professor.
