Clinical Groups

Clinical group visits are a cornerstone of our integrative health approach at Osher. In these interactive sessions, patients receive care alongside others sharing similar experiences and health goals. Our team of group facilitators includes integrative nurse practitioners, physicians, psychologists, yoga therapists, culinary experts, and mindfulness facilitators. Each clinical group fosters a collaborative learning environment where patients with health conditions and goals in common, receive valuable insights and guidance tailored to their needs. Additionally, patients gain inspiration and support by sharing experiences with peers and creating a collaborative environment for holistic learning and healing.

Benefits of Clinical Group Visits:

  • Shared experiences and support: Find encouragement and learn from others on similar paths.
  • Enhanced learning and understanding: Receive valuable insights from healthcare professionals and peers.
  • Active participation in your care: Ask questions, share concerns, and become a partner in your health journey.

Mindfulness Groups

The practice of mindfulness can help you use your physical, emotional and spiritual resources to cope, heal, grow and improve your health and well-being. Research shows that mindfulness can help you reduce stress, anxiety and depression, as well as help you manage chronic pain and illness. Learn how to calm your body and mind from experts at the Osher Center for Integrative Health at Vanderbilt.

“Mindfulness is paying attention in the present moment on purpose and with the quality of acceptance and kindness.”
