The Osher Center at Vanderbilt offers elective rotations for learners from varied affiliated medicine and nursing training programs at Vanderbilt School of Medicine and School of Nursing. These elective experiences vary based on program requirements and availability and typically include clinical shadowing and participation in interdisciplinary team conferences and meetings.

Objectives of elective rotations:

  • Gain exposure to patient-centered, interdisciplinary integrative health practice in a clinical setting

  • Gain basic knowledge of various evidence-based integrative and complementary therapies for promoting health and wellbeing

  • Identify potential areas of interest within the field of integrative health
  • Fulfill program-specific requirements for elective rotations in medicine or nursing

Rotation program:

At this time, due to capacity, the Osher Center only offers elective rotations to learners from established partner programs. If you are enrolled in a medicine or nursing program at Vanderbilt University, please inquire with your program whether an elective rotation at the Osher Center may be available.
