Bio
Cynthia Allen, PT received her BS in Physical Therapy from the University of Tennessee in 1997, where she graduated magna cum laude. Cynthia’s experience includes physical therapy in the acute, sub-acute and outpatient settings. She spent several years in sports medicine and neurological rehabilitation before obtaining her Herdman certification for vestibular rehabilitation from Emory University in 2002. Cynthia transitioned to the Osher Center in 2012, where she currently serves as Clinical Coordinator for the Osher PT team. She has extensive experience and advanced training in the treatment of chronic pain and favors a biopsychosocial treatment approach utilizing therapeutic exercise and manual therapy. Cynthia believes her primary role as a physical therapist is to empower her patients to achieve their personal wellness goals through movement.
Personal Statement & Approach
I enjoy collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to provide patient-centered, whole-person care to medically complex patients. I am grateful to share my knowledge of the human body and my passion for movement as part of a comprehensive treatment plan to facilitate a patient's capacity for self-healing.
