Bio:
Dr. Hansen has been practicing as a nurse practitioner at the Osher Center for Integrative Health at Vanderbilt since 2010. In this role, she provides integrative health consultations, heart rate variability biofeedback and manual therapy. She also leads integrative medicine group visit programming and facilitates group visits. She received her graduate degree from Vanderbilt in 2010 with an emphasis in Palliative Care, particularly pain management. In 2022 she completed a PhD in Health Service Research.
Personal Statement and Approach:
Dr. Kathryn Hansen is a nurse practitioner, massage therapist and health services researcher. Since 2010, she has been an integral part of the Osher Center for Integrative Health at Vanderbilt where she leads an interdisciplinary team specializing in lifestyle and behavioral approaches to optimizing health in the setting of chronic disease.
Dr. Hansen is a member of the Bravenet Collaborative Executive Committee, a group of academic integrative health centers working collaboratively on research to improve integrative clinical research and delivery of evidence based integrative care. She has worked nationally and internationally on advancing integrative health care policy and improving access to high quality Integrative healthcare.
In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with loved ones, gardening, hiking and hot springs.
