Bio:
Taylor Koval has been a licensed massage therapist since 2002 and a board-certified therapeutic bodyworker since 2019. He has worked at the Osher Center for Integrative Health at Vanderbilt as a massage therapist since 2007. Taylor works collaboratively with patients and medical providers on patient specific goals of managing chronic pain, or chronic conditions. Additionally, he is certified through the Center for Mindful Body Awareness in body/mind modalities that are implemented in a massage setting. Taylor also has extensive experience in professional cooking and co-leading cooking classes to empower patients with knowledge and a foundation of cooking. Through both approaches he facilitates an evolutionary process for patients to improve quality of life.

Personal Statement & Approach:
I am drawn to work with an integrative team because at its core it is a patient centered approach, which embodies treating the whole person and having relationships with other providers that teach us about how to see the person as a whole.
